We have decided that there are three kinds of motorcycle people
The Leather wearing ones
The denim wearing ones
The guy who was wearing the pink Hawaiian shirt, khakis, and loafers with no helmet, simply cruising down the highway
We actually ate breakfast this morning guys (granted Elena had some cereal and Jess had chickpea puffs so you decide if it actually counts)
We have also noticed that the entire state of New Mexico is fighting to have the cheapest gas
We entered the land of under 4 dollars for a little bit
And then we hung out in the land of under 4.70 for the entire rest of today’s drive
They are all fighting to have the cheapest gas
Some would be 4.09, 4.28, 4.32, and then really the highest that we saw today was 4.69

We keep seeing them, and every time one of us says it the other probably punches the ceiling
Usually Jess says it and Elena does the ceiling bop
For those of you who don’t know what it is
A tragedy
Elena’s mom called this morning
Asked us which one of us was WALL-E and which was the cockroach
Jess answered that Elena was WALL-E and she was the cockroach
Elena thinks it's probably the opposite though so there's no agreement
We stopped in Santa Fe and struggled to find parking
But we eventually found some (it only cost a dollar!)
We walked around the historic downtown area
Cool old buildings
Nifty little town square area
Very cool old church
The first Native American / Indigenous Person to be appointed a saint
A hummingbird moth type thing?
That was the Santa Fe experience y’all
We were initially going to eat lunch in the parking lot
But we forgot and paid our 1 dollar and then needed to leave the garage so
We ate in a gas station parking lot instead
We also got some Dunkin' and ate doughnuts which was exciting (I am @ing Austin for hating on the way I spell doughnut)
After that Kevin Remington (university photographer and Jess and Elena’s work study boss) called us to ensure that we were being safe and to warn us that Gallup, NM was dangerous
We appreciate it greatly and it totally made our day
Guess what lads
We need another oil change
We’re gonna go sit in another Walmart parking lot and get one
But we won’t eat lunch there this time, because we already did that
We ate dinner this time :)
We ate at the Chili’s that Jess and her mom ate at last year when their tire exploded (about a one year anniversary)
Everyone here in New Mexico also drives a white car
It’s a little creepy ya know
WE ALSO DID LAUNDRY TODAY IT WAS SO NEEDED
THE LAUNDRY BAG WAS OVERFLOWING…
Jess was very excited about the alien street lights
Someone tell me what the difference between southern lemonade and regular lemonade is

We cleaned the car out after doing laundry!
everything from the car takes up the entire hotel room
Applaud us for fitting all of this into a 2009 Honda civic
We are now checked in and ready to sleep early
