It was a good driving day for the most part
And we choose to watch Iron Man 3 instead of getting as much sleep as we should’ve
We’re middle children and we have issues so this is fully expected
We are the queens of bad decision making
The regularly scheduled announcements for the day

The lowest gas price was 3.55
The highest gas price was 4.67
(Special for today) a funky gas price that made us both uncomfortable: 4.00 even. Where are the numbers…

Middle child of the day: We didn’t come up with one today, but for all you middle children out there… you can pretend it was you if you want :)
Now for the daily updates :)
We got up at seven… thirty
We stayed up kind of late watching Iron Man 3 (Elena hadn’t seen it before and Jess wanted to watch it, so we did)
Then we stayed up even later because the STARS man
“I dislike Texas but I will excuse it on the fact that the sky is so endlessly long at night, and all the stars just melt into the mountains :)”

It is apparently a very regular Texas rest stop thing?
I am not a texan so I do not know
BUT IT IS SO LARGE
And the starting pay is like, 20???
Would work there but only in total desperation
We saw a whole bunch of Piddidles today too

We also saw a billboard for the emergency room today, like
It was being advertised like a car commercial

The number of Texas flags I’ve counted today

It was like,
For every American flag
There were two Texas flags
But anyways
We took pictures in Houston
We walked around the Hermann Park area
It was pretty
There was a fake Washington monument and reflecting pool thing
There were birds
And train tracks!! And a super large statue of Sam Houston
comedy
Then we boosted
We ate lunch today, and breakfast technically
And dinner also
So responsible of us

We saw a car that was just missing a whole headlight
All that was there was a large hole
We arrived in Baton Rouge
We took some pictures
We caught everything right at golden hour so it was phenomenal
Lots of lines, windows, and things to take pictures of through other things
And also reflections and flags
Perfect for the two of us
Sorry that the blog post is late and rather disorganized tonight
We aren’t feeling super hot and jumping from the dry to the humid hot climates hasn’t done either of us any favors
Also we found out that the Hoover Dam exploded today, bummer that we missed it...
But our Airbnb has a pinball machine :)
