Hello :)
Welcome back to the chaos page
I love that you’re here
And so do you.
Here are the daily announcements:
Song of the day: Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl) by Looking Glass
Lowest gas of the day: 3.99
Highest gas of the day: 4.89
Signs and such:
I see a beaver in your future (Jess is afraid of the Buc-ee’s signs)
Stop for Pedestrians at crosswalks (this was on the interstate)
Middle child of the day: Brandy from the song
My parents didn’t pay enough attention to me, so I’m emotionally attached to men who are emotionally attached to the ocean”
Now the daily update!
We awoke
And then
We didn’t get out of bed…
Sorry guys
We did nothing today.
Just Kidding
comedy gotcha (but probably not…)
We are running slow in the morning, but we’re on the home stretch so like don’t blame us
We’re middle children and we have issues!
After we got moving
We ate breakfast… sort of at least
Jess had a poptart, and Elena had two pieces of turkey
We did so good guys
We drank juice!
Michael’s lamp can’t get us now!!!!
We drove from Florida
Back to Georgia
You may ask - why did you leave Atlanta Georgia for Florida
Only to return to Georgia?????
My response to you is
When else on this trip were we supposed to do Florida?
At the beginning???
We tried really hard to avoid backtracking so
Fight me.
We avoided Alabama
We can avoid you too
Anyways
We returned to Georgia
And thus so did we return to the land where Buc-ee’s billboard exist
These are frightening
That is all
AT this point also
There were like
50 no parking signs all in a line
On the interstate
Like what’s up with that
The car was mad at us today
Freddie said - it’s humid yucky
And then the air vents promptly started steaming
It’s too hot for problems lads
Struggling
Elena had another zoom today
So we did that while we tried to figure out what was wrong with the car
But we got Dunkin’ out of the whole ordeal :)
“Thank you for buying me a giant matcha - now I can feel alive...”
Everyone in Florida has a boat
Which like makes sense
But it means that we’ve passed a whole bunch on the road
It’s fun to watch the propellers do like a little spiny thing as the boats cruise down the highway
We made it to Savannah
As usual
We rolled up to the place
Found a spot to park
And took pictures
It was lots of fun
There was water and taste lines
Reflections and lines
And very aggressive stairs
But also like the capitol building I think?
Maybe city hall
Either way
Every capital building tries to be the Pennsylvania state capitol building
It’s the superior capital building. I will fight anyone who disagrees with me
~ Elena
We discussed some common middle child issues today
Because we are both middle children and it’s all highly relatable content
We find our oldest and youngest energy friends and we just
Make ourselves middles again
Struggling
Also
I really hate to inform y’all of this
But we did not eat very much today…
We barely ate what counts as breakfast
We skipped lunch completely (this was a conscious decision)
We are both relatively (extremely) tired of eating sandwiches
Like if we have to eat more bread
That’s it
That’s the end
This is bread.
us except we aren't dancing
We also realized that the trip is coming to an end
It still feels like we were in New York yesterday
It never hit that we started
And it never hit that we needed to end
Until we realized that we would have to get rid of our car trash box that we’ve been using since like
The second week…
This is where the emotional devastation set in
Wild stuff
We’re middle children, we’ve got issues
We did eat dinner
We ordered takeout from IHOP
And ate breakfast dinner today
Yay for pancakes and IHOP getting Jess’s order entirely wrong
Yay for at least getting the hashbrowns right
Tomorrow we head for some stuff in between here and Columbia
Just a string of small towns
It’ll be cool
No stress
If you're gonna bop to old music
do it with some friends
or don't don't
who I am to tell you how to vibe
no pelvic sorcery here...
Peter and Gamora
