Day 5: Indianapolis, Chicago, all the rain and traffic

Respectfully,

We are paying our regards to you all this fine evening

This post, like the rest before it, may or may not be on time

We'll just have to see, won't we?

Today's song of the day was "Welcome to the Internet" by Bo Burnham (thinking of you Heather :))

Also, last night, someone finally explained to us what they mean when they say that Jess and Elena have "DIFFERENT STYLES"

Audience thoughts on that?

As for the events of the day, today we:

- Got up decently early again, like 8 ish if I had to guess (I don't, I can just look at the alarm that we set)

- It was raining this morning, so t'was a smidge brisk - getting things to the car was painful, truly

The drive to Indianapolis was relatively uneventful - a welcome difference from yesterday's issues

which, we decided came from the fact that we didn't drink any juice boxes yesterday.

There was only bad juju. And we blame Michael's spooky cursed asylum lamp.

In Indianapolis: - We hit up another parking garage, who's shocked??

- Side note, parking garages are a lot cheaper than either of us initially thought they were, today we paid like $6 for parking (which might be a lot IDK we are like children who let us have a car?)

- We wandered around the veteran's memorial, and invaded their public library (which is so beautiful, we both lamented having to boost away from there at high speeds )

- WE FINALLY TOOK MORE PICTURES OF A CHURCH (Catholic churches are unfairly beautiful - this is unrelatable content for both of us...)

We BOOSTED

- We actually didn't eat lunch today, so once again we have cheese to save (We did eat though, just not like "proper" lunch food)

On the way to Chicago

- We sat in so much traffic, people ned to learn how to drive properly like its not that hard (Jess snapped a picture of Elena's pained traffic face for those of you who are curious to see)

- We got to a rest stop not long after to swap drivers and obviously, we were going to pee, but the guy was mopping the bathroom so like, we couldn't :( (A NATIONAL TRAGEDY)

- We lamented the gas prices rising as we move further west... (why are we going out west, why?)

In Chicago:

- WE TIME TRAVELED!!!!! (Not really, we simply gained an hour as we head west)

- We learned, there is no Illinois, only Chicago :) What a discovery, we've learned so much today

- We were basic, I'll admit- We went to Millennium Park and looked at the bean

- There was a public park concert going on... Elena was crushed that we could not stay (what a band kid *insert eye-roll here*)

- Neither of us knows when to stop - we have to put cameras in bags or we just keep taking pictures

~ Jess Kishbaugh

Tonight we are staying with incredibly amazing and super sweet Katie, who also shared so many good stories of Elena's father in high school and oh so many a glorious picture

Don't steal lightning in your spare time

Go fight some monsters instead

Stay classy,

Percy and Grover
